Our accommodations are designed to welcome
and soothe. In fact, each room is not only
decorated with warm colors and comfortable
furnishings, but offers generous closet
space, and room for the kinds of mementos
and heirlooms that foster a sense of
connection both to the past and to the
present.
The essence of Grace Hill Adult Care is to
both provide resident-centered care, and
provide that care in a residential setting.
The philosophy provides residents freedom of
choice, independence, and the opportunity to
live as before, aging with dignity, privacy
and respect.
We know that flooded bathrooms can cause
safety and sanitary concerns. All of our
bathrooms have floor drains for ease of
cleaning and prevention of flooding. All of
our water faucets and fixtures are designed
with scald protection devises.
Our home has been designed to alleviate the
usage of hallways and to encourage
residents to enjoy our common areas. You
will find tiles in the main areas of the
home, but warm carpeting in the bedrooms.
Grace Hill Adult Care home is very new and
was built to have all the necessary items
needed to support the elderly and/or
handicapped. We have included a handicap
ramp and in all of our bathrooms we have
handicap brace bars and walk-in showers in
all the restrooms.
The elderly require two to three times as
much light as an adult to maneuver or safely
read in comfort. The common areas in our
homes are designed for maximum lighting to
provide that comfort and security.
Our home offers wrist or ankle bands
specially designed for wanderers that
activate an audible alarm when a
resident exits our exterior doors. This
system warns the staff of a pending
wanderer problem. We also have bedside
bells for residents who need to call for
a care giver.
Our grounds are completely fenced with full
height six-foot safe fencing for security
and safety. We also offer an outdoor patio
that features barbecues and a picnic table
along with beautiful landscaped areas for
residents and their guests to enjoy.
We have installed high-quality carpeting
and window treatments for that decorator
touch, modern kitchenettes that include
maple cupboards, microwave, stove with
oven, and refrigerator with freezer.
Our home has alarm systems, locks on all
the doors, a fire sprinkling system
along with fire extinguishers and smoke
detectors. Because safety is imperative
to us, we have those inspected by the
Fire Marshal every year.
